Mario's Onevia Test Drive by NotoAyako Mario's Onevia Test Drive by NotoAyako
Took me longer than I expected, but here's the complete scene of the artwork I prepared as a birthday present for my friend Mario, as stated in my journal. :iconeheplz:

Background story of this artwork :
"Right after Nate a.k.a ~Savagenate77 sold his Onevia, Mario a.k.a *MCMXC2 bought it and trusted it to me to modify it. Yeah, this very Onevia

Knowing that this car used to run on drift tracks, I decided to fully build it for drifting purpose. The modification includes new body kits, new set of wheels (Nismo LM-GT 18"x8" front and 18"x10" rear), turbo kits, rollcage, sleepy eyes headlights, and many more. Not to mention that it has RB25DET under it's hood, too." :iconiseeplz:

As I stated in the journal as well, the interior scene, including the pedal shots are based on references which Nate gave me. Yep he's now still driving an S13, I mean a real S13, not a Onevia anymore. While the car is based on his Onevia which are sold now.

The technique potrayed in this artwork is called "Clutch kick". It's not a really good technique to drift, though, especially when it comes to clutch pad preservation. But I guess we don't have to worry because this car is now equipped with Exedy heavy duty twin plate clutch. Yeap, every drift cars should have excellent clutch, right? :iconheehee-plz:

I actually have the page with text, sound effects and such but I feel not so fond of them so I decided to hide those text. :iconrejectedplz:

Here are the images I use for this page :

Credit of this artwork mainly goes to Nathan a.k.a Nate a.k.a ~Savagenate77 for the reference pics.

Now... now... It's just an artwork for my friend's birthday, not exactly a D1GP scene. The car doesn't have any D1GP stickers after all. :iconsweatplz:

But still... thank you so much for the positive commentary... :iconpyongiluplz:

Well... to be more exact that was a Lexus IS250. It's powered by smaller V6 engine while IS-F is powered by larger V8. Eitherway, both cars are based on the same platform so there's nothing wrong to assume that there's not much difference between them. :iconahehplz:

Thanks a lot as always for your positive response as well as your support... :iconmoewinkplz:

That's super cool! I really like the glossy finish of the paint on the car and the reflections on it, they're really well done. I like the effects on all the shots actually, you've done this well Aya-chan :D I'm glad I could help with the reference shots, it's good to see the finished product!

That's a super cool looking Onevia :P

Why thank you soooo much, Nate... :icondragonwant:

What can I say? I just wanted to make it look bright, that's why I chose this color. The color itself is gold, I think or at least that's what I want.

The effect on the shots...? Well.. I guess it all thanks to you so I can draw them, and yeap, the onevia is cool, because it's based on Frank, hehe... :icondragonshy2:

First time...? How unfortunate.. It's been popular since long time ago. FYI, it's basically S13's with 180SX's front ends. Seems like no one did it woth an S14... :icontskplz:

Well... I've never seen one in person, too... but trust me, they're really popular among Silvia enthusiasts. I think there are quite a lot of them in the drifting scenes accross the globe, too. Visit speedhunter if you want to know more about this car. :iconahemplz:

This might be random, but perhaps you know about SilEighty? yeah, like the one in initial D.:iconmonkeythinkplz:

But, Nick... She...? You mean Me...? The driver is me in 2D form, you know... :iconuhuplz:

Oh... I'm relieved to hear them... That would be embarrassing if I draw myself totrally differently between each artworks, that would feel like the me in 2D is drawn by different artist... :iconcicilalalaplz:

Btw, this might be a bit late, but perhaps did you use the technique I told you the other day on your recent artworks...? :iconwhatsthatplz:

Well... you know what. I can't draw that well, too... So I try to cover my lack of skill in traditional drawing with my skill in digital drawing. :iconpervmonkeyplz:

However, like many other people, I will always try to improve my drawign skill, both digital and traditional. You should also improve so you'd never depreciate your own traditional drawings anymore. :iconahemplz:
